Farm In The City (FITC) is a unique new concept that combines elements of wildlife and nature set in a designed environment of a conservation park.

What to Expect?

Drawing upon the values of Malaysia’s multi-racial and multi-cultural population, FITC is designed to resemble a typical Malaysia village or “kampung” setting. FITC plans to become a focal point for tourism in the state by providing educational and entertaining insight into the lifestyle and setting of a Malaysian village, farm and fruit orchard with its natural plants and wildlife.

FITC is much more than a viewing exhibit. It encourages visitor-interactions with the animals and plant-life in a comfortable yet authentic environment. FITC also places great importance on education of visitors on the various aspects of farm and animal life as well as wildlife conservation and preservation.

Animals and Petting Interaction

Some of the rare animals you can see here include a crusty-looking dinosaur turtle (which looks like a giant leatherback turtle) and a crow with snow white plumage. One of the great things about this park is that you can really interact with the animals – from snapping a picture of you ‘riding’ (translation: hovering over) a giant tortoise to feeding a deer from the palm of your hand.

Farm in the City is beautifully landscaped and there is even a section where kids can go inside the rabbit and guinea pigs enclosure and play with them: all in all, it is an awesome experience. It is a better place to take your kids to see animals than Zoo Negara (which has seen better days), and the park’s mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish are well taken care of, which of course, will make this place infinitely-pleasing to animal lovers.

- Spend a fun-filled day at this exciting farm located just 30 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur

- The local village themed petting zoo allows you to interact with all kinds of animals - play with porcupines, stroke horses’ forelocks

- Have witty conversations with parrots and watch the animals roam freely without restraining cages

- Pet and feed animals like the giant tortoise, baby crocodile and alpaca within enclosures that mimic natural habitats

- With over 100 species of exotic animals and 60 species of plants and vegetables, there's so much to learn and discover

Been here twice with different company and everyone loved it! Extremely family friendly place, saw many families and kids in stroller here too. It is an educational and fun visit as we can interact with animals in a close and safe space.

The farm has label for all the animal creatures - Type of species, scientific name, location, diet, prey and lifespan. Some animals are kept in cages and guarded by a glass wall, while the friendlier ones are roaming within their quarters. Animals where you can take safely take pictures up close are llama, sheep, tortoises, birds, iguana dragon and rabbit. The pony bites and the llama may get slightly aggressive when they see you are carrying a bucket of feed so you need to be careful.

One of the things I was concerned is the animals overall well-being as they are constantly stimulated by tourist and feeding. I was assured when I saw the animals look like they are in good health, reasonable size due to all the feeding but also not obese. There is a specific feeding session for some animals in the morning and afternoon.

The place is not hot because it is well shaded with trees, I went once at 9am and 3pm and the heat was not bad. Weekend crowd was surpassingly mild too. I bought tickets in advance and the ticket’s validity is quite long. When I was there, no queue in sight so it is okay if you do not buy tickets in advance. I spent roughly 2.5 hours there each visit.

Suitable for kids age 1-10. You can pet the animals and give foods. Bring your own carrots if you want to save money😂 the vegetable price is very expensive. Like RM10 for a little carrot. Main attraction is alpaca and giant turtle. Overall its a nice experience cause the kids can touch and see the animal clearly. Price for adults is RM39. free for kids under 90cm height

Well maintained petting zoo. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Animals looked healthy and well kept - if not slightly overfed. Great for active young toddlers who love animals! But they won't allow food to be brought in, and the restaurant in the area doesn't have good variety of food. So keep that in mind and plan your trip in between mealtimes.

The best interaction with living animals in Malaysia. Nothing can compare to the experience here. Better than zoo because we can touch the animal by hand and close up. Got many kinds of animal and save to visit. Please make sure you wear something dark to avoid your cloth being dirty to to exposure to the animals there. Plus got canteen inside so that visitors can buy drink and food while walking inside the farm. Best feeling ever.

Whenever we had bad events in life and need a little getaway, this place we would surely go to escape a while. This place holds a very special place in my heart and my wife's as well. All made it more special as we just brought our beautiful almost 2 year old daughter recently. She loved the animals there. Will keep on coming back as we love the place, animals and nature it offers. Maybe next time we come, there would be another adddition family member. Thanks for the memories Farm in the City!
